Narconon Has Given Me a New Life

After spending 6 1/2 hours on a plane flying from my home on the island of Kauai to LAX to start my Narconon journey, I was met by Fabian in my wheelchair at baggage claim. I had no idea what to expect. I was scared and frightened. I knew that I had to make a drastic change in my life because the path that I was on was going to lead to my destruction. It was going to lead to my physical destruction, the destruction of my relationships with my family, my spiritual destruction, and my professional destruction.

I had to make a change now.

Fortunately, my girlfriend could see that this needed to happen now, not the next day, or the day after that, but now!! So, she bought me a plane ticket, drove me to the airport, and physically herself put me on the plane from Kauai to LAX to meet my new guardian angel, Fabian.

My first couple days in Northridge [a Medical Detox] were tough but necessary. Soon thereafter Fabian gathered me up and took me to a little piece heaven on earth in the mountains above Ojai, California. It was there that I began to see my purpose for being here, and what I needed to accomplish for myself.

If I told you it was easy, I would be lying. Though much of what we do in life that is very meaningful is challenging and requires us to do hard things, and that has been my experience at Narconon. Thank goodness for the staff that have the necessary experience to help those of us in need to work through our own personal challenges to get us to the point to where we can succeed at the program that’s been provided here.

The New Life Detoxification by L. Ron Hubbard is truly inspiring. I don’t know where I would be today were it not for this program and the opportunity that it gave me to cleanse my body of the poisons that I’ve been carrying for so long. This program has cleansed my physical body and has given me life again, both physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I feel completely cleansed and a new man in many ways. I feel better than I have felt in 15 years. My mind is clear, my heart is open, and my spirit is ready to continue my journey to further self-improvement.

I have learned the principles of being present in life. I’ve learned to be present for myself first and foremost. I have learned to be present within my own environment, within nature, and with all those that I come in contact with. I have learned the importance of being centered and balanced as an individual. I have learned about the importance of family and my relationships with those that I love most. I have learned that life is precious and is not ever to be wasted.

I have learned more deeply how our thoughts help us formulate our intentions, which in turn creates the actions and circumstances that govern our lives. That it is through our thoughts and our intentions that we decide the course of life that we will choose and experience.

I have learned that for me to be my best self, I must show up for myself first. That I need to be present for myself first. That only by doing so, can I be truly present for others. It is the ability to be present in the moment, that allows me to love greater than I’ve ever loved before.
