I Have Won a Fight that Was Worth Fighting

In August of this year, my life was spiraling out of control. I realized that if I continued to live the way I was living, I would soon lose everything I had worked so hard to obtain. My wife, my children, my career and my health, were all at risk, and it was time that I “got up from the floor” and fought back, so to speak. I had to look at the man in the mirror, dig down deep and realize that I had come to a crossroads. I could either throw in the towel or be the fighter that I have always been, and so I chose to fight. I was sickened by the person that I had become, and I made the decision that I would change without fail.

What I did next took a lot of courage in my eyes. I had to look my family right in the eye and explain to them that I would be leaving for a period of 2-3 months. I had to look my juniors at work directly in the eye explaining to them that I would be leaving for a period of 2-3 months, and then I had to swallow my pride and call my employer.

Without hesitation, my employer reached out to me with both hands and planned a trip for me to visit Narconon Ojai, and I did just as I said I would do. I packed my bags, flew from the East Coast to the West Coast, and headed to a place that I had never been before without any expectation other than the fact that I was going to be a better person as long as I moved forward and continued to move forward.

I can look my juniors, my employer, my coworkers, my family directly in the eye with a sense of pride. I carry zero shame and or guilt. I have won a fight that was worth fighting, and I feel very accomplished.”

I’m very grateful to all those involved and those who helped make this happen. What bothered me before no longer exists. To date, I awake in the morning excited rather than feeling guilty. I can look my juniors, my employer, my coworkers, my family directly in the eye with a sense of pride. I carry zero shame and or guilt. I have won a fight that was worth fighting, and I feel very accomplished.

Narconon Ojai has equipped me with the tools that I need to make each day the best day that it can be. Narconon Ojai has helped me obtain a new sense of well-being and vitality that cannot be defined. A person who knew me before can simply look at me today and see the change. Thank you, Narconon Ojai and continue fighting the good fight!

Sincerely,
